Back in my bullet journal for planning
After so much back and forth over the past year, I have found myself back in a bullet journal for planning. I started a new Moleskine large squared notebook back in May and haven’t looked back yet. Of course I still have my Hobonichi and told myself I would keep using it as a type of journal…. but I haven’t worked in it for several weeks now. Everything is going into my bullet journal.
Current setup: Moleskine large squared journal (Mine is in orange yellow); Unistyle Fit pen with 5 colors; Pilot Frixion pens (when needed); and I use my LG PoPo Photo Printer to add pictures to the journal.
Some planner history for the past year: (I have tried to incorporate bullet journaling in all of these systems.)
I started out in a very old, very cheap spiral notebook…. and I loved it!!
I moved my bullet journal into a Filofax A5 Finsbury…. This worked for a little while but it was too large to carry around with me… sigh!
I purchased my first personal size Filofax, the Domino, and I moved all of my planning and bullet journal there. This actually worked for quite a while until I discovered the Hobonichi!
I purchased a Miquel Rius journal and made a faux Hobonichi…… I liked the style and incorporated my bullet journal onto the daily pages. I used this journal only shortly until I received a “real” Hobonichi cousin in the mail!
I love my Hobonichi….. The layout is spectacular and it has everything you could need in one book……… but, right now, I like the free form nature of using an empty layout that I can design myself… I hope to “catch up” my current Hobonichi so I can have an entire year of journaling in one book. The Hobonichi store is found at http://1101.com
Midori Traveler’s Notebook
Do I like this style…. YES! Why? Because I can mix up my systems in one “book”. I am currently not using any of my Traveler’s Notebooks but I could easily move right back in. It is great for the bullet journal. I actually sell these in my Etsy shop.
I don’t know why, but something in me wanted to try out the ring bound system again. I ordered this lovely FC Ava binder at a great price from Amazon. I used it maybe two weeks and then I ordered something totally different to try out…. I just can’t seem to stay in a ring binder.
Erin Condren Life Planner
This purchase was totally out in left field for me! I love to watch the “Plan with Me” videos and I just got hooked! But, I quickly learned that the EC is just not meant for me. I considered using it only as a business planner but I really want to keep all of my information in just one place. Check out the videos and see if it would work for you… If you are a first time purchaser, you can get $10 off your first order by using this link to sign up and order! They not only have life planners, they also carry wedding planners, teacher lesson planners, notebooks and other stationary items.
I have left out and skipped over other binders and planners that I have used in the past year because there are just too many to list!… I should note that two of my other favorites are my Filofax Cover Story Floral Burst binders in the personal and pocket size (which I currently use as a wallet).
So now I am in just one book with everything in it!………… The Moleskine!
