Crafts: How to Make a Crochet Flower Bouquet
Crochet flower bouquets add color to your home decor… or, they can be made into pretty and whimsical bridal bouquets. Just check online and you will find many available for sale. Beading, charms and other interesting items are often added to the bridal bouquets to make them unique and match the wedding theme. The cost for these bouquets can be quite high. So, if you are planning a wedding and know how to crochet… consider making your own by following the simple instructions below!
Crochet flower bouquets can also be made to fill vases around the house. Think of all the holiday decorating you can do and the many color possibilities!
- H Hook
- Yarn (in your choice of colors)
- Floral wire
- Floral tape
- Tapestry needle
*Medium Size Flowers: CH 30 and DC in the 3rd chain from the hook. DC in each chain across the row. Tie off the piece after the last stitch, leaving a long yarn end.
*Small Size Flowers: CH 15 and DC in the 3rd chain from the hook. DC in each chain across the row. Tie off the piece after the last stitch, leaving a long yarn end.
*Roll the piece together (see the video instructions).
*Sew the bottom of the flower together using a tapestry needle (see the video instructions).
*Fold a piece of the floral wire in half and insert it into the center of the flower piece, from top to bottom (see the video instructions).
*Secure the floral wire and finish the flower by wrapping with floral tape (see the video instructions).
