Massive Productivity With My Bullet Journal – March Update
My bullet journal is like an extension of my brain. Where would I be without it? I just don’t know. It doesn’t matter if I’m currently using a more formal type of planning system…. I always have a journal on hand as a back-up. (If you’re not familiar with what a bullet journal is, head over to BulletJournal.com for the basics.)
My current bullet journal is super utilitarian and practical. It’s not pretty… only pretty messy. I stopped keeping long term collection lists in there because I really don’t want to copy them over into a new notebook when this one is finished. These lists are now digital and live in Google Keep.
What’s included in my bullet journal:
So, what do I actually have in this journal?
- Monthly spreads that are the traditional calendar style.
- Weekly spreads that have my “time chunking” layout.
- Daily notes and tasks. Sometimes I add a timeline to plan out my day.
- Notes of various other things: notes on podcasts, videos, books I’m reading, etc.
- Budgeting information.
- Simple forward planning.
My bullet journal doesn’t look anything like the ones you will see in many YouTube videos. I don’t care if it has fancy lettering or beautifully drawn out plans. It ‘s just a place for me to plan out my days……… although I absolutely love watching those videos to see how others are setting up their journals.
You can make your journal into anything you want it to be. That is the beauty of this planning system. It’s completely your own.
